Gojri also known as gujari is an indo Aryan language which is spoken by the Gujjars of Pakistan, India
and Afghanistan. The language is like thousand years old. It’s classified as the dialect or form of the
Rajasthani. Scholars believe Rajasthani and Gujrati are evolved from this language. The language was
known as Gujjar Bhakha before. Poet Bhoja referred to this language in 1014 AD. The language is mainly
spoken in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Rajahstan, Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab and many other parts of
India. The language is also spoken by the Gujjars of Pakistan. News in Gojri is aired on radio in Jammu & Kashmir.
